The Mission Neighborhood Health Center is a non-profit, multi-site community health organization offering comprehensive health services in the Mission and Excelsior Districts of San Francisco. We are currently looking for qualified candidates for our EHR Team Supervisor role. This position reports to the Chief Operating Officer and is a Regular, Full Time, Exempt role with a starting annual salary range of $108,400 to 119,700 with full benefits . Primary Objective:EHR & Workflow Optimization (65%)
Supervise, lead, and mentor the EHR Analysts team to ensure efficient Epic system usage and optimization across the organization.
Collaborate with clinical, operational, and IT teams to assess and improve workflows in Epic, covering the entire patient experience
Lead the identification of bottlenecks and inefficiencies in Epic workflows, recommending and implementing solutions to streamline processes and improve patient and staff experience.
Develop and implement training programs for staff to ensure optimal use of Epic and adherence to best practices.
Act as the subject matter expert (SME) on Epic system features, including scheduling, patient intake, clinical documentation, billing, and patient discharge.
Manage the integration of Epic with other health IT systems to improve clinical operations and data-sharing capabilities.
Monitor EHR performance and provide regular reports to senior leadership on the effectiveness of Epic workflows and optimization efforts.
Work closely with the executive team and operational leadership to ensure that workflows align with organizational priorities, such as improving patient access, operational efficiency, and clinical outcomes.
Serve as a liaison between MNHC and OCHIN Epic, actively participating in discussions to facilitate changes that optimize the system to meet the needs of the organization and its teams.
Monitor and respond to Jira tickets as needed, ensuring timely resolution of issues and improvements to Epic workflows.
Create and manage project charters for EHR optimization initiatives, outlining scope, objectives, timelines, and resources required for successful implementation.
Process Improvement (20%)
Collaborate with operational leaders to continuously refine and improve workflows in Epic, ensuring alignment with clinical and operational needs.
Lead cross-functional projects aimed at improving operational and clinical performance through EHR optimization.
Utilize Lean methodologies and data-driven insights to drive continuous improvement initiatives and achieve better outcomes in care delivery.
Develop and execute projects that support patient access, clinical quality, and operational excellence across MNHC’s various locations.
Team Leadership Development (15%)
Supervise and support the EHR Analyst and training team, including recruitment, training, performance evaluations, and career development.
Coach and empower team members to work collaboratively across the organization to improve workflows and optimize the use of Epic within their roles.
Ensure that the team stays current with system updates, regulatory changes, and best practices related to EHR usage.
Foster a positive, collaborative team culture focused on continuous improvement and innovation in EHR optimization.

We are looking for a candidate that has demonstrated success in the following areas:
Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience, preferably in an FQHC or similar healthcare environment
Extensive experience with Epic EHR, with expertise in clinical workflows and operational management
Demonstrated experience optimizing EHR workflows to improve the patient experience and operational efficiency
Strong project management and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate with cross-functional teams
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to engage and guide clinical and operational leaders
Minimum Requirements
BA/BS in Mathematics, Computer Science, or BS/BA in Public Health, BA in Health Informatics, BA IT, BS Nursing related fields
Two years of ambulatory care clinic or hospital experience
Three (3) years progressively responsible management experience
Commitment to the populations served by Mission Neighborhood Health Center
Preferred Qualifications
Masters in Healthcare Informatics, Information Technology, or related fields
Registered Nurse (RN) with a current, active California nursing license
Epic certification in Clinical Applications or relevant areas
Lean or continuous improvement certification
Experience in an FQHC environment or with underserved populations.
Bilingual in Spanish and English
