In this role, you will be responsible for cutting, joining, and fabricating aluminum and other metals to create high-quality mechanical structures and parts. Responsibilities

• Select appropriate welding equipment or methods based on project requirements.
• Set up components for welding according to specifications, including cutting materials to precise measurements.
• Prepare parts for welding using angle grinders and other tools.
• Weld components using manual or semi-automatic equipment in various positions, following company guidelines and procedures.
• Test and inspect welded surfaces and structures to identify and correct flaws.
• Maintain welding equipment to ensure safety and optimal performance.
• Apply knowledge of wire and filler materials for various steel alloys.
• Utilize fixturing and set up weld parameters (amps, volts, etc.) as needed.
• Use conventional and precision measuring instruments to ensure accuracy.
• Complete process documentation, inspection, and certification as required.
• Work at different workstations or shift between stations as production needs require.
• Follow all safety protocols and company policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the area supervisor.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience, including experience with push/pull guns.
• Successful completion of an internal welding test.
• Proficient in reading a tape measure and using electrical or manual tools (saws, squares, grinders, etc.).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment to meet production deadlines.
• Knowledge of various metals and their properties, especially aluminum.
• Understanding of safety standards and willingness to use protective equipment (face shield, gloves, etc.).
• Ability to work in a non-air-conditioned environment.
• Physical ability to squat, kneel, bend, stoop, crawl, twist, turn, grasp, and reach overhead and outward frequently.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly and stand or walk for up to 10 hours per day.
• Strong work ethic, adaptability, integrity, and willingness to contribute to team success.
