WUNC serves North Carolinians from Greensboro to the Outer Banks through a network of seven stations. Position Summary The Database Administrator oversees the fundraising systems and procedures for electronic gift processing applications and reporting for WUNC. WUNC-FM is a NPR member station serving over 400,000 weekly listeners and 48,000 annual donors. This position works primarily in the Development department, with principal duties consisting of fundraising reporting (design, programming, testing and maintaining standard and ad-hoc reports), maintenance of the donor database(s), automation of various processes and donor communications. The Database Administrator is responsible for the design and programming of WUNC Business Office's electronic gift applications to support a complex stream of gifts from the web, lockbox, overflow and telemarketing services, UNC Carolina Fund and WUNC fundraiser applications. The position insures gift processing methods adhere to UNC and State business requirements. In addition, the position is responsible for assisting with Payment Card Industry (PCI) compliance and works closely with the IT, Business and Development departments. It also serves as the Database Administrator for Enterprise, an Online Transaction Processing (OLTP) SQL server database supported by Access, International, as well as Convio, a fundraising Content Management System. This position, like all at WUNC, provides public service and contributes to supporting our listeners and donors and therefore maintenance of the database, gift systems and reporting must run efficiently and accurately. Minimum Education and Experience Requirements Master's or Bachelors and 0-2 years' experience; or will accept a combination of related education and experience in substitution. Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience Prior experience writing SQL Queries Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience Prior experience with Content Management Systems Prior experience with Convio/Luminate Knowledge of fundraising and donor recapture cycles Experience with SQL Database Management Experience automating data pipelines Excellent problem solving abilities. Prior experience in PCI Compliance administration Effective oral and written communication skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet short deadlines.
