Job Description
Embark on a meaningful, forward-thinking journey as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Helena, Montana, where compassionate care meets the beauty of the Northern Rockies. In this specialized travel assignment, you will bring hands-on clinical expertise, empathy, and a steady presence to a community hospital setting that values skilled teamwork and patient-centered outcomes. As an LPN, you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality, timely care across med-surg and long-term care environments, coordinating with RNs, physicians, and support staff to ensure comfort, safety, and clear communication for patients and families alike. This opportunity is designed for professionals who want to amplify their impact, develop deeper clinical proficiency, and experience the fulfillment that comes from helping people navigate health challenges with dignity. Montana’s wide-open skies, big mountain vistas, and the peaceful rhythms of Helena offer a backdrop for both personal renewal and professional advancement. In your downtime, you can enjoy the city’s historic charm, nearby trails, and serene rivers, all while knowing you’re making a lasting difference in a thriving healthcare community.
Working in Helena provides a distinctive blend of accessible care, exceptional outdoor recreation, and a supportive, close-knit healthcare ecosystem. The location benefits include the chance to immerse yourself in a high-quality hospital culture that emphasizes patient advocacy, safety, and continuous improvement. Helena sits within reach of wonderful day trip experiences, from exploring the Missouri River overlooks to enjoying winter sports in the surrounding mountains. This assignment also opens opportunities to work in various locations across the U.S., enabling you to broaden your clinical horizon, gain exposure to diverse patient populations, and refine your adaptive nursing skills. Whether you’re returning to familiar settings or venturing into new environments, you’ll encounter unique case mixes, collaborative multidisciplinary teams, and the satisfaction of providing consistent, respectful care in dynamic settings. The combination of a welcoming community, competitive compensation, and the chance to travel with a trusted partner offers a compelling balance of stability and adventure.
In this role, you’ll provide direct patient care under the supervision of RNs and physicians, including routine assessments, vital signs monitoring, medication administration, wound care, and documentation in electronic medical records. You will assist with basic treatments, administer prescribed therapies, manage supplies, and help orient patients and families to care plans and discharge instructions. Your responsibilities will also include observing for subtle changes in patient status, communicating concerns promptly, and contributing to care coordination, especially during shift handoffs. This assignment emphasizes ongoing professional growth within the LPN specialty, with opportunities to expand your clinical repertoire into areas such as acute med-surg, geriatrics, and transitional care. You’ll have access to tailored onboarding, evidence-based practice resources, and mentorship as you step into expanded roles and responsibilities. The position offers a competitive benefits package that includes a signing bonus, housing assistance, and scope for contract extensions, ensuring you have the support you need to focus on patient outcomes. In addition, you’ll receive guaranteed hours, with a consistent 40 hours per week commitment, and the security that comes with a structured schedule. A dedicated, 24/7 support team stands by to assist you as you travel with the company, ensuring you never face a challenge alone—whether you’re navigating a new facility, handling a patient movement, or seeking guidance on clinical questions.
The organization’s values center on empowering staff, fostering a culture of learning, and promoting advancement within a supportive environment. You’ll be encouraged to pursue continuing education, participate in skill-building programs, and access leadership pathways that recognize your dedication and clinical excellence. The corporate philosophy prioritizes work-life balance, respectful teamwork, and open communication, so you can deliver compassionate care while maintaining personal well-being. Through consistent feedback, clear goals, and access to leadership support, you’ll find a clear trajectory for professional development that aligns with your career aspirations as an LPN.
