Job Description and Duties

Under the general direction of the Conditional Release Program’s (CONREP) Section Chief, the Staff Services Manager II, is responsible for the administrative and operational support oversight of the CONREP SVP Unit and CONREP Independent Placement Panel (IPP) administrative unit. The position directly supervises two Health Program Specialist IIs and one Staff Services Manager I.

Working Conditions

• DSH-Sacramento is located at a new 11 floor high rise building.
• This position reports to the Allenby Building in Sacramento. A hybrid Telework schedule, consistent with the State of California's in-office requirement, may be considered with prior approval from management. The incumbent may also be required to travel throughout California as needed, with prior notice.
  
• The State’s Commute Programs provide bicycle, mass transit and vanpool incentives to eligible state employees. The State’s mass transit incentive pays 100% of the transit pass up to the IRS maximum of $325 per month in 2025.

Statement of Qualifications

The Statement of Qualifications (SQQ) should provide specific details and examples that clearly demonstrate your qualifications. SOQs will be evaluated based on the content and writing ability, using standardized rating criteria. All information in the SOQ is subject to verification. Competitive applicants will be invited to attend an interview. Applicants who do not submit a completed SOQ that meets the requirements and specifications listed below will not be considered.

The SQQ should be no longer than two pages, single-spaced, typed in Arial size 12 font, with 1-inch margins. The applicant should include their name in the header of the document and number the questions below within the document so that the reader can ascertain which response corresponds with which question.

2. Describe your ma nagement experience leading a team/unit responsible for support of a complex or dynamic program.
3. Describe your management style in a work environment where there can be multiple evolvin g and competing priorities at any given time.
