Job Description

At Veracity, we aim to be a different kind of insurance partner—one that is free from outside investors, venture capital, or the pressures of a corporate parent.

Ours is a culture of empowerment – one that believes in effort, results, and accountability. We believe that transparency fosters trust, trust fosters growth, and that growth drives innovation. Our commitment to rigorous evaluation and relentless execution lead to rapid evolution.

We answer only to the small business owners we serve, and this independence allows us to stay focused on what matters most: helping their businesses thrive by providing expert guidance and best-in-class insurance policies.

We’re growing fast and want you to be a part of it!

Looking for hands-on, meaningful work that produces measurable impact? It’s here! We’re seeking a humble, hungry, smart, and proactive SEO Specialist to join our team remotely. This role reports to the Director of Content as part of a team of SEOs who work in a highly collaborative environment with Editors, Copywriters, Designers, Product Marketing Managers (PMMs), Partnerships, Social, Video, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment with overall strategy and business objectives.

You’ll develop and execute comprehensive SEO strategies from keyword and competitor research to page and product performance tracking and analysis, link attraction and building, content strategy and optimization, and technical SEO, among other things.

To do this, you’ll need a deep understanding of search engine algorithms and ranking factors, best practices as defined by search engines, users, and data, proven experience in driving organic rankings and sales growth, and strong organizational and analytical skills to track, measure, and report on performance.

Here are some of the things you’ll do
  • Develop and implement SEO strategies and tactics to drive organic traffic growth
  • Conduct keyword and competitive analysis and perform various types of website audits to identify optimization opportunities, spot technical and on-page issues, and so on
  • In conjunction with others in the Content team, develop an editorial content calendar that supports SEO goals and the marketing funnel
  • Optimize website content, structure, metadata, and other elements to improve search engine rankings
  • Collaborate with the Digital Media Specialist to develop content that attracts high-quality backlinks and perform link-building campaigns
  • Collaborate with Content and Design teams to ensure SEO best practices are implemented
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on organic performance using tools like Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and various 3rd party SEO tools (Moz, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, etc.)
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest SEO trends and algorithm updates (including artificial intelligence/AI) and share your knowledge with the SEOs and others
  • Use AI per company and team guidelines to create efficiencies at scale, perform research, automate rote work, improve analysis, etc.
  • Request and instruct the efforts of resource providers (Copywriters, Designers, etc.) in the execution of the SEO strategy
  • Perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned
Requirements and Qualifications
  • 3+ years experience directly creating, managing, and executing SEO strategy
  • Experience developing content strategies either directing or in a collaborative role
  • Know-how and ability to develop and drive a true SEO strategy
  • Experience using AI tools to enhance SEO results, knowledge of how to track AI brand mentions and rankings
  • Knowledge of building links (the right way) and experience with link-building
  • Experience running technical audits, content audits, backlink profile reports, etc.
  • Proven results running national organic campaigns during your 2+ years of experience (B2B and/or SaaS SEO experience a plus)
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a track record of productive and respectful collaboration with others
  • Strong organization and project management skills
  • Curiosity to spot anomalies (good or bad) and identify root causes to eliminate issues before they become problems, spot winning tactics to replicate, etc.
  • Proficiency with Google Analytics and Google Search Console as well as tools like Semrush, MOZ, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, etc.; experience working in WordPress
  • Willingness to learn and understand the world of insurance and insurance marketing
  • A humble, hungry, smart, and proactive attitude
Perks
  • Health, dental, and vision plans
  • Amazing work-life balance with 4 weeks of Paid Time Off
  • 10 Paid Company Holidays with 2 floating holidays
  • 401K Programs with employer match
  • Personal assistance programs for support in a healthy personal and work life
Why Veracity?
