Job Description

REN Seafoods is seeking a motivated individual to join our team as a Sanitation Worker. 

Job Purpose : Use USDA-approved chemicals to disinfect surfaces, sanitize, and maintain assigned areas throughout the building.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following :
•    Use approved chemicals to disinfect surfaces.
•    Perform general cleaning and sanitizing tasks and services throughout property.
•    Use cleaning cart to transport cleaning supplies.
•    Clean and disinfect bathrooms.
•    Wipe and dust surfaces in rooms.
•    Mop and clean floors, rugs, furniture, drapes and mirrors.
•    Stock bathroom supplies.
•    Empty trash containers.
•    Remove empty boxes from production floor and dispose of in designated area.
•    Notify maintenance if something is not working properly.
•    Report any potential issues to management.

Qualifications :
•    Ability to follow verbal and written directions
•    Ability to communicate clearly and read labels
•    Attention to detail

Education and Experience :
•    High School diploma or GED

Working Conditions & Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to:
•    Ability to work in a cold and wet food processing and manufacturing environment
•    Prolonged periods of standing and walking
•    Ability to pull, push, bend, and stoop throughout the shift
