**Req Number** 165880 Job Title: Production Manager (Entry to Mid-Level) Location: Bronx, NY (relocating to Moonachie, NJ early 2026) Salary: $80,000 - $90,000 Annually FlexStaff is seeking a Plant Manager for our client, a leading kosher food manufacturing facility with a team of over 130 employees, is seeking a motivated and hands-on Production Manager to join their dynamic team. The Opportunity: We are looking for an Entry to Mid-Level Production Manager to oversee and optimize daily production activities for a specific shift or production line. This role is crucial for ensuring efficient manufacturing processes, maintaining product quality, and upholding our high standards for food safety. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated leadership potential, a strong work ethic, and a desire to grow within the food manufacturing industry. This position reports to the Operations Manager. Key Responsibilities: + Implement and oversee daily production schedules to meet customer orders and shipping deadlines. + Supervise, train, and motivate a team of production line staff (e.g., 10-30 employees) on a shift, fostering a productive and safe work environment. + Collaborate with the maintenance team to identify and report equipment issues, assisting with troubleshooting and ensuring timely repairs to minimize downtime. + Work closely with FSQA (Food Safety & Quality Assurance) and Sanitation teams to uphold stringent food safety, quality, and cleanliness standards in compliance with GMP, HACCP, and kosher requirements. + Provide regular updates and reports on production status, challenges, and resource needs to the Operations Manager. + Liaise with cross-functional teams including Sales, Logistics, and Procurement regarding production needs and delivery schedules. + Assist HR with onboarding, basic employee relations, and ensuring compliance with company policies on the production floor. + Identify opportunities for process improvements and support the implementation of efficiency and quality initiatives. + Ensure daily compliance with all safety, regulatory, and kosher requirements. Qualifications: + Minimum 2-4 years of experience in a supervisory or lead role within a manufacturing environment, preferably in food production. + Demonstrated leadership potential and ability to supervise and motivate a small team. + Working knowledge of food safety principles (e.g., GMP, HACCP) and quality standards. + Familiarity with production planning and scheduling processes. + Aptitude for identifying and communicating equipment issues; willingness to learn basic troubleshooting. + Good problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills. + Hands-on leadership style: willing to be present and actively involved on the production floor. + Flexible, adaptable, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability. + Open-minded and able to work effectively in a multicultural and diverse workplace.
