And we do it all with heart, each and every day. **Position Summary** CVS Health has an exciting new opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician to join our CarePlus Specialty Pharmacy team in Birmingham, Alabama. The team specializes in HIV, Hep-C, MS, Oncology, Rheumatology, Dermatology, and Gastrointestinal diseases. If you are a dedicated, motivated, and patient driven Pharmacy Technician and enjoy helping people on their path to better health, this may be the role for you. In order to be successful in this position, you must be able to lift and ship prescriptions up to 30 pounds. You will be essential to ensuring medication has been filled correctly and be responsible for accurately entering prescription information as needed. You will also be responsible for contacting patients to arrange delivery, perform refill reminder calls, accurately fill medication orders, prepare orders for delivery, packing/shipping medication orders via various carriers for final delivery to the patient, maintaining adequate inventory, managing inventory functions, and helping walk-in customers. The pharmacy is open Monday through Friday 8:00am-6:00pm. The pharmacy is closed on weekends and holidays. Schedule 9:30am - 6:00pm CST, Monday - Friday. **Required Qualifications** - 6 months of Pharmacy Technician experience - Actively registered as a Pharmacy Technician in Alabama **Preferred Qualifications** - Previous customer service experience - Previous prior authorization experience - Previous medical billing experience - Specialty Pharmacy experience **Education** - Verifiable High School diploma or GED required **Anticipated Weekly Hours** 40 **Time Type** Full time **Pay Range** The typical pay range for this role is: $17.00 - $28.46 This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.
