Cordia Resources by Cherry Bekaert is partnered with a dynamic firm who is seeking a Payroll Specialist (Intermediate) to join their team. This is a temporary position with an immediate need!

Position Details

• Location: Hybrid - Alexandria, VA
• Work Schedule: Remote majority of the time; initial requirement to be in-office Tuesdays & Wednesdays , later reduced to Wednesdays only .
• Core Hours: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM (flexible start/end times).
• Pay Rate: $35.00-$40.00/hour

Responsibilities

• Manage payroll processes using Deltek Costpoint (minimum 2 years) and Deltek TE .
• Handle timesheet corrections , analyze root causes, and ensure timely resolution.
• Process timesheet labor and respond to employee payroll inquiries with thorough research.
• Maintain accurate data entry and attention to detail.
• Collaborate on ad-hoc projects as assigned.
• Uphold confidentiality and respect for employee records.
• Work with third-party payroll providers , preferably UKG (3+ years experience).
• Utilize Excel for reporting and analysis.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience performing full-cycle payroll tasks and understanding payroll principles.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines.
• Experience processing payroll for 1,000+ employees .
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
• College degree or equivalent relevant work experience.
