The Network & Systems Support Specialist is responsible for providing on-site and field IT support, assisting with the installation and maintenance of network devices, servers, and IT infrastructure. This role also supports basic troubleshooting for data center equipment and assists with customer-related service desk tickets as needed. The ideal candidate has foundational IT knowledge, strong problem-solving skills, and a customer-focused mindset.
Key Responsibilities:
· Assist with the installation and setup of network devices, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
· Provide basic troubleshooting and support for network and system issues.
· Support IT infrastructure in data centers, including cable management and hardware setup.
· Assist the service desk team in resolving customer IT support requests.
· Work with the security team to follow established cybersecurity procedures.
· Document IT support tasks and maintain records of equipment and configurations.
· Provide on-site IT support at customer locations as needed.
· Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth IT operations.
Required Qualifications:
· Associate’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
· 2-3 years of experience in IT support or a related role.
· Basic understanding of networking concepts, servers, and IT infrastructure.
· Experience with Windows operating systems and basic troubleshooting.
· Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
· Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
· Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to customer sites as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or equivalent.
· Familiarity with cloud services like Microsoft 365 or basic IT security concepts.
· Experience working with IT ticketing systems.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
· Ability to lift and move IT equipment (up to 50 lbs).
· On-site and field-based work, including travel to customer locations.
· Availability for occasional after-hours support as needed.
