One of my top clients is a 100+ year-old, Chicago-based, fourth-generation mold-making facility , recognized as the Midwest's premier full-service plastic mold-maker. Known for innovation, they handle everything in-house-from mold design to plastic injection mold-making. They offer services in mold construction, repair, revisions, and texturing, which is the only service of its kind in the U.S. .
This company has a great work culture, low turnover , and a tenured team . The facility is spacious, well-maintained, and air-conditioned, covering 50,000 sq. ft. They offer advancement opportunities, cross-training , and a variety of work . Benefits include a pension, 401K , and 70% health insurance coverage .
Candidates should have their own tools, such as micrometers and calipers , or they'll know you aren't the real deal. Shifts are day (7:00 AM-3:30/5:30 PM) and night (5:00 PM) , with a 30-minute lunch .
Positions available include:
* Mold Makers (Unigraphics 3-D CAD, MasterCAM, S.D.R.C. 3-D CAD, Solidworks)
* CNC Operators (Fanuc controls, machines like Kitamura, OKK, Makino etc)
* CNC Programmers (Mastercam, Haas)
* Wire EDM Operators (one of their top needs) Must have ingersoll or Marsaille EDM Machine experience or be able to adapt to it with little training)
