We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Medical Receptionist to join our private optometry practice team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional administrative support in a medical setting, ensuring a smooth and efficient patient experience. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle sensitive health information with confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients warmly and manage the check-in and check-out process.
• Schedule appointments and manage the calendar for healthcare providers.
• Collect and verify patient information, including insurance details and medical history.
• Process patient payments and maintain accurate financial records.
• Handle incoming calls, respond to inquiries, and direct calls to appropriate staff members.
• Maintain patient files and health information management systems with accuracy.
• Support other administrative tasks as needed, including filing and data entry.

Skills

• Proven experience as a medical receptionist in an eyecare setting is preferred.
• Familiarity with ICD-10 coding and health information management practices is a plus.
• Strong patient service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations.
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Proficient in using office equipment and software relevant to medical reception duties.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information responsibly.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $27.00 per hour (negotiable depending on experience)
