Job Description

Our client is a nationally recognized forensic engineering firm that has been in business for over 40 years. They are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our client's dynamic team. This is a growth opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer, because this small team has over 100+ years of experience, expertise, and specialized engineering knowledge between all the team members.

This is an amazing opportunity for candidates who are passionate and possess a strong background in mechanical engineering to join a fun and close-knit team to work on a wide variety of interesting and challenging forensic engineering projects.

Responsibilities:

- Collaborate with team to investigate, summarize, and write forensic reports for clients.

- Prepare detailed investigations, summarizations, and and forensic reports for projects.

- Most of the time will be spent in the office (50-75%) with some time spent traveling mainly in the Iowa region to complete investigations.

Skills:

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

- Minimum of 2+ years of professional experience as a Mechanical Engineer.

- Ideal candidate is licensed as a Professional Engineer (PE).

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Effective written and verbal communication and interpersonal abilities.

- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.

Benefits:

- Competitive salary range of $80K - $120K, commensurate with experience.
