Title: Lead CNC Lathe Operator
Shift: 1st Shift, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, with overtime as available
Salary: $30 - $35/hr, based on skills and experience

We are a preferred supplier of precision machined components for the aerospace, energy, and oil & gas markets. Our shop specializes in short-run production, allowing our team to create a wide variety of interesting and challenging components. We are looking for a skilled leader to join our growing team in a climate-controlled facility.
Lead CNC Lathe Operator Role:
This role exists to lead the CNC Lathe department, taking ownership of the entire process from print to final production. As the lead, you will be responsible for enhancing the team's capabilities through training, improving quality and documentation standards, and ensuring the efficient operation of advanced CNC equipment.
Lead CNC Lathe Operator Responsibilities:
Edit and write CNC programs to meet specifications
Set up and operate CNC lathe machines for production runs
Take a component from initial print to a completed, quality-verified part
Train, mentor, and elevate the skills of team members
Identify proper tooling and inspection methods for each job
Verify the conformity of all machined output using standard inspection equipment
Document production data and inspection results accurately
Troubleshoot and resolve machining and process issues
Collaborate with the team to optimize production and quality standards
Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure uptime
Lead CNC Lathe Operator Reporting Relationships:
This position reports to the Production Manager and will have approximately 8 direct reports.
About You:
Possess 3-5 years of hands-on CNC lathe experience
Demonstrate the ability to take a part from print to a finished product
Have experience with CAD/CAM software and basic-to-advanced programming
Be fully proficient in the use of Fanuc or Okuma controls
Have a strong ability to train and mentor other operators
Be skilled in using standard inspection equipment and tools
Exhibit strong leadership and people skills
Possess a high level of attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
