Job Description

Essential Job Functions:

• Follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
• Monitor and maintain the health of plants and shrubs, identifying issues and taking appropriate action.
• Remove dead, unwanted, or damaged trees safely.
• Plant new flowers, trees, grass, hedges, and bushes according to landscaping plans.
• Maintain gardens and lawns through mowing, trimming, pruning, raking, and weeding.
• Water plants and lawns, and apply fertilizer as needed to promote growth.
• Load and unload equipment and tools into work vehicles.
• Drive work vehicles to and from job sites safely.
• Adhere to all safety precautions and protocols.
• Operate landscaping equipment, including tractors, mowers, leaf blowers, and aerators.
• Communicate effectively with team members and management.
• Work well independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements of the Landscaper Position:

• Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 4 hours in length.
• Must be able to exert well-paced mobility in limited space.
• Must have the ability to bend, squat and lift up to 50 lbs., including, but not limited to, lifting trays of food or food items on a regular and continuing basis.
• Understand and respond to employee and guest verbal requests and visual cues in a loud and extremely busy environment.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
• 3-5 years of landscaping experience preferred, but candidates with less experience will be considered.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and maintain a clean driving record.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Salary Range:

• $18 to $20 per hour
