Job Title: Production Manager

Job Type: Full-Time, Temporary Associate

Start Date: ASAP

End Date: December 2025 (Extension Possible)

Location: Remote.

Position Summary:

We are seeking a senior-level Production Manager with deep expertise in print production, digital asset management , and process optimization to join our AP Access Team. This role will consolidate responsibilities previously distributed across multiple team members and requires strong leadership, collaboration, and process-building skills. Ideal candidates will bring best practices and hands-on experience in managing production workflows from concept to delivery.

This is a temporary, full-time position through December 2025 with the potential for extension based on future organizational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Production Management (60%)

• Manage end-to-end production processes for a variety of AP Access materials including instructional content, Pre-AP frameworks, and outreach educator tools.
• Develop, maintain, and communicate detailed production schedules.
• Ensure consistent quality control and adherence to brand standards across all deliverables.
• Coordinate and oversee the permissions process for instructional material development.
• Oversee digital asset delivery to the AP Professional Learning Platform.

Inventory Management (30%)

• Ensure accurate inventory and version control across products in the College Board Store and AP Professional Learning.
• Collaborate with internal teams to create or update product descriptions and item numbers.
• Oversee ordering processes for AP Summer Institutes, including annual site training.
• Maintain up-to-date versions of materials for internal and international stakeholders.

Vendor Management (10%)

• Build and maintain relationships with print vendors to ensure timely, high-quality, and cost-effective delivery.
• Manage communication of electronic file transfers and coordinate shipping/logistical escalations as needed.
• Develop and document standard operating procedures, implementing automation where feasible.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• 7+ years of proven experience in print and digital production management , ideally within educational publishing or EdTech.
• Demonstrated experience managing full-cycle production workflows.
• Familiarity with Digital Asset Management (DAM) systems and tools.
• Strong vendor management and inventory control experience.
• Outstanding project planning , organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Proven track record of cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder engagement.

Preferred Industry Background:

• Educational Publishing (e.g., Pearson, McGraw-Hill, HMH)
• EdTech Companies (e.g., Scholastic, Amplify, College Board)
• Creative Agencies focused on print/digital media
• Large nonprofits or academic institutions with internal production capabilities
