Job Title: HR Generalist

Job Overview:
Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking an HR Generalist to join our client to support day-to-day employee needs and help drive a positive, well-guided workplace experience. This onsite, temporary-to-hire role in Seymour, IN focuses on partnering with supervisors, addressing employee concerns, and ensuring HR matters are handled with clarity and care. The HR Generalist will serve as a trusted resource for coaching leaders, reviewing personnel requests, and escalating issues appropriately. This position plays a key role in maintaining a consistent and people-centered HR environment for a large hourly workforce.

Compensation:
$40–$50/hour

Work Schedule:
Monday–Friday, standard business hours

Key Responsibilities of the HR Generalist:

• Provide guidance to supervisors by discussing employee situations, coaching on next steps, and helping them navigate workplace issues.
• Manage employee relations concerns by gathering details, identifying root causes, and ensuring appropriate follow-through or escalation.
• Review and process personnel actions such as promotions and compensation adjustments while maintaining fairness and compliance.
• Support HR leadership by assessing issues, recommending resolutions, and partnering on sensitive or complex matters.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to maintain strong HR practices for a high-volume, hourly workforce in distribution and packaging environments.

Qualifications and Skills for the HR Generalist:

• A solid understanding of core HR practices, employee relations, and workplace coaching.
• Experience supporting front-line leaders or serving in a business-partner-style HR role.
• Ability to evaluate concerns, communicate clearly, and recommend fair, consistent resolutions.
• Familiarity with talent acquisition concepts and time/attendance processes.
• A personable, approachable style with strong judgment and problem-solving abilities.
