The Pediatric Division of the Optimal Living Institute (OLI) is looking for a Nurse Practitioner preferably with some pediatric experience to join our team. The Nurse Practitioner will provide medical services to patients under the guidance of our Doctorate prepared Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Alicia Spiess.
We are a small but growing pediatric practice currently with 133 clients ranging in age from birth to 21.
This role provides services as needed to provide coverage for out F/T NP at least One (1) weekend a month (Friday afternoon to Monday morning) plus 3 weeks a year of vacation time.
As the practice increases then the hours available will also increase and the NP will have the opportunity to join F/T if desired.
Our current calls over the weekend average around 3 – 4 (with only 1 in office visit on average every 6 weeks).
The ideal person for this type of role is a good listener, outgoing and compassionate, organized and adaptable and an excellent problem solver. This vital role provides services as needed to provide coverage for our F/T Pediatric NP at least one weekend a month and 2 weeks of vacation time a year.
Responsibilities: - This is primarily a remote remote position with occasional office visits as needed.
- On call - 24 hours a day over the weekend and provide patient-care services over the phone or in office as needed .
- Communication: – Display professional judgment regarding patient and staff communications. Be able to work with electronic medical records, answering phones, and using our secure messaging system. Assist with patient education regarding standard protocols.
Requirements: - Certified FNP or Pediatric NP
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently
- Previous clinical experience is preferred of 1 - 2 years
- Must provide your own malpractice insurance.
