Experienced Medical Biller – Home Health & Hospice

Dependable Health Services is seeking an experienced Medical Biller who thrives on accuracy, understands the nuances of Home Health and Hospice billing, and takes pride in supporting quality patient care through meticulous work.

What You’ll Do:

• Ensure documentation complies with all coding and payer requirements
• Accurately assign ICD-10 and CPT codes for Home Health and Hospice services
• Submit and track claims to Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurers
• Investigate and resolve unpaid or denied claims
• Communicate with providers, insurers, and patients to resolve billing issues
• Stay current with evolving regulations and payer guidelines
• Handle insurance authorizations and pre-certifications
• Maintain strict HIPAA compliance
• Collaborate with the billing team to enhance workflows and efficiency

What You Bring:

• Proven experience in Hospice billing, Home Health exp preferred as well
• Solid understanding of ICD-10, CPT, and payer billing protocols
• Experience with Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurers
• Proficiency with billing software, EMR systems (Wellsky), and Microsoft Office
• High attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
• High school diploma or equivalent (medical billing education preferred)
• Knowledge of HIPAA and healthcare confidentiality standards
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
