Environmental Waste Supervisor

Lafayette, IN

Starting Pay: $22.25/hour

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00am–2:30pm

We are seeking a dedicated Environmental Waste Supervisor to oversee the waste management program at a local manufacturing facility. This role is critical to ensuring the safe, compliant, and efficient handling of hazardous, non-hazardous, universal, and non-regulated waste across the site.

Responsibilities:

• Collect, transport, consolidate, and store various waste streams across the facility

• Provide on-call pickup and delivery of empty containers to waste generators

• Ensure all containers and labels comply with RCRA and DOT regulations

• Prepare and maintain documentation for all waste shipments

• Schedule waste and empty container shipments and communicate with stakeholders

• Train and supervise staff involved in waste management

• Stay current on federal, state, and local environmental regulations

• Enforce site compliance with all waste management policies and procedures

Qualifications:

• High school diploma required

• Previous experience in waste management or a related field preferred

• Knowledge of RCRA and DOT regulations strongly preferred

• Strong organizational and communication skills

• Ability to supervise staff and manage scheduling

• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite

• Willing to complete Hazardous Material Training
