Our work depends on a Contract Manager joining our team to support GDIT's Federal Civilian Division - Science and Engineering Sector's Department of Energy, Department of Education, State Government, and DoD Medical and Peer Review. This position will involve activities at various northern VA and MD locations.

HOW A CONTRACTS MANAGER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:
  • Negotiates contracts, including price, terms and conditions, and reviews contractual documents for legal sufficiency prior to execution
  • Ensures program compliance with relevant contractual terms and conditions and compliance with designated management objectives
  • Provides guidance and work leadership to assigned contracts administrators and may have supervisory responsibilities
  • Serves as point of contact with internal departments concerning specific contract questions, issues, and problems
  • Reviews requests for proposals and prepares proposals
  • Formulates and negotiates contract proposal modifications (e.g., REAs, Change Proposals)
  • Reviews and negotiates teaming agreements
  • Interprets contractual work requirements and obligations
  • Makes recommendations regarding contracts implementation
  • Maintains current knowledge of relevant contractual procedures and practices
  • Participates in special projects as required

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree. In lieu of degree, 9+ years of related contracts administration experience required.
  • Required Experience: 5+ years of related contracts administration experience. 5+ years of experience leading a team.
  • Required Technical Skills: Microsoft Office Suite
  • Required Skills and Abilities: Advanced knowledge of the practices, procedures, and processes involved in contracts administration. Advanced knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, terms, conditions, and policies governing assigned contracts, including FAR, applicable Agency Supplements, and CAS.
  • Preferred Skills and Abilities: Professional certification (e.g., CPCM/CFCM). 8-10 years of related contracts management experience. Experience with DoD medical contracting. Understanding of vaccine production.

The likely salary range for this position is $119,000 - $161,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
