SUMMARY

Sharp Innovations, Inc. of Lancaster, PA is seeking a full-time CMO to work with our CEO, Project Manager, Digital Marketing team, leadership team and our clients. We are looking for a proven servant leader to lead the future evolution of our growing marketing department. The successful candidate will be primarily gifted and qualified in having the vision to see macro marketing solutions for clients as you meet with them and learn about their businesses; from there, you will lead in the creation of digital marketing strategies and plans for the future for our clients and our company as a whole. They will also have passion to bring the best out of the team members in their department investing in each person so they can become all God designed them to be.

We are ideally seeking a person who will be able to work full-time out of our Conestoga, PA office, however we will consider remote or partial remote opportunities as well for the right fit. The successful candidate will be primarily gifted and qualified in having the vision to strategize and plan successful content, paid, social media, and other marketing solutions for clients as you meet with them and learn about their businesses; from there, you will lead in the creation of marketing strategies and plans for the future of our clients and our company as a whole.

The successful hire could also be presented with the opportunity to advance into holding an equity stake in the company after they establish roots, and a proven track record has been established. We are looking for someone who has a love for marketing, improving client results, and digital marketing as a whole. The successful candidate must be able to manage (and perform duties) for a wide range of client assignments at any given moment for client digital marketing services which we are providing to clients (content marketing, paid search, social media marketing, etc). We are open to candidates that are stronger in some of those areas but not all. We want someone who can help with creating client content marketing plans as needed and give direction working with other team members, but who is also able to get in the weeds and have a hand in the creation, based upon real knowledge they have.

You would likely have an 60% focus on the work stated above and about a 40% focus on qualifying inbound leads that come in via e-mail and phone working in tandem with our growing sales leadership team, as well as through 3rd party consulting firms that establish appointments for us currently. Your goal would be to work with our sales and/or management team mostly (and others as needed) to qualify opportunities for us based upon set parameters and training from the CEO, assist in estimating costs and presenting proposals. We would also have you work with that group to close business that falls below the level that warrants having the CEO involved in. Larger opportunities would be handled jointly with him. With time we’d also ask you to explore bringing on merger and acquisition targets that align closely with our business.

You become a direct lifeline to the CEO and the company’s future, so you are a very key hire. The CEO oversees 3 for-profit organizations and 2 non-profits currently, so your marketing leadership will have an opportunity to offer its gifting towards an even wider landscape than Sharp Innovations in time if desirable. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Key responsibilities may include:

  • Keyword/theme analysis and related digital marketing analytical research
  • Meeting with clients and interviewing them for marketing opportunities
  • Content writing, editing, proofing, and posting for client assignments
  • Working with and managing e-mail automation campaigns / client CRMs for inbound marketing or marketing to sales funnel conversions
  • Social media management
  • Analytics management to drive improved client and departmental ROI
  • Developing strategic digital marketing plans for clients
  • Marketing strategy, idea generation and execution for clients or our company
  • Qualifying inbound prospect leads for our team
  • Proposing, developing, and executing the successful launch of new services for our company towards greater diversification and client success
  • Collaborating with designers, signage companies, and related 3rd party media sources
  • Sales presentations, estimating, and sales/marketing assistance
  • Mentoring, training, and growing team members in your department
  • Strategic planning for our company and new technology research. Taking the lead on developing/proposing/revising services
  • Closing business with others on our team when needed from inbound leads
  • Collaboration with the digital marketing team members to improve client results
  • Organization, detail-oriented procedures/tasks (maintain and improve) for management
  • Performing all tasks around doing organic SEO efforts for client websites
  • Lead and oversee recruiting and departmental staffing decisions, as well as hold team members accountable to client billable hours
  • Research and present acquisition or merger targets of similar companies with like values to help accelerate our growth

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills:

  • Strong knowledge and experience developing marketing strategy ideas / plans for businesses
  • Strong knowledge and experience in marketing small businesses
  • Passion and experience in marketing analytics and research to improve client results
  • Digital marketing experience– SEO, PPC, content marketing, social media (some of all of them) – organic SEO and PPC the most preferred.
  • Ideally the candidate would have some experience with inbound marketing, e-mail marketing automation campaigns / CRM’s and marketing to sales funnel conversions.
  • Strong verbal communication skills and service oriented, people-person
  • Comfort with periodically contacting all existing clients to ensure their happiness, direct issues to others on the team and promote our digital marketing services.
  • Comfortable doing lead qualifying and helping to close in-bound business (client facing)
  • Personable and able to adapt easily to new situations and environments
  • A passion for working directly with clients and meeting with clients, as required
  • Self-starting and able to operate independently of direct supervision
  • A mentor or coach that enjoys helping the team, our company, and our clients succeed
  • Humble and willing to do anything needed to get the job done
  • We would like to ideally see 5+ years of experience in digital marketing, and 7+ years in total business marketing experience.
  • HTML/CSS knowledge & experience
  • Experience with Wordpress, Magento, Shopify, OpenCart and other common CMS platforms preferred
