Job Description

The Dandy Crown is a neighborhood cocktail-focused bar and restaurant in River West, which has received many accolades and publicity for its cocktail programs, ambiance, atmosphere, and creativity since opening in 2019.

We seek an experienced Bar Manager to grow and shine with us. This position is integral in providing polished, personalized service to our guests, while working hands-on, including shifts during the week.

The Bar Manager should be prepared to assist in leading operations, but not limited to: managing and training staff; creating and implementing bar menus; managing resources; planning promotional events; daily financial procedures; guest relations, and maximizing customer satisfaction. The Bar Manager should also be able to work with diverse personalities and diffuse tense situations.

 

The Bar Manager should have:

• At least 2 years of previous bartending experience with at least 1 year of restaurant/bar management experience.
• TIPS/BASSET Certification, Manager's Food Sanitation Certification, Allergens Certification.
• Speak fluent English.
• The ability to follow verbal and written instructions and communicate with fellow team members.
• A basic understanding of beverage and labor costs, basic math skills, prior experience with and good working knowledge of POS and other restaurant-related systems such as Tock, and proficiency with  Google or Microsoft document and spreadsheet applications.
• Pride in a friendly and welcoming environment, passionate yet humble about service.
