The Omni Boston Hotel at the Seaport is located in the center of the bustling Seaport District. The AAA Four Diamond rated hotel boasts 1,054 finely appointed guestrooms with 52 suites, seven delectable dining ( experiences, a scenic rooftop pool ( , a luxury Breve Spa ( , and more than 100,000 square feet of meeting and event space allowing to provide each guest a unique and memorable experience. TheBar Manageris responsible for ensuring proper training and supervision of all personnel. The Bar Manager is to deliver prompt, courteous service in a manner that complies with Omni Food and Beverage standards and company policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
Responsible for the day-to-day operation for all restaurant functions, to include efficient and effective running of all events ensuring operating costs are minimized.
Supervise and coordinate assigned shift.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation awareness standards. Prepare daily for health department and Ecosure inspections.
Examine food preparation and beverage presentation.
Maintain condition of dining room, lobby lounge, morsels, mini bar, and room service.
Assist manager in; scheduling, completing weekly payroll, and forecasting both weekly and monthly.
Ensures prompt delivery and quality control from point of departure to arrival.
Conduct/attend all required department trainings and meetings.
Perform any other duties required by management.
Qualifications
2 years of experience in Food and Beverage Supervision or Management role preferred.
Must have the ability to manage deadlines.
Understanding of Food and Beverage financials including cost and par controls is preferred.
General knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Union environment experience preferred.
Must possess the ability to handle stressful and busy hotel operations.
Must be Food Handler and TIPS certified.
Ability to always maintain a positive and professional demeanor and composure.
