Job Description

Overview:

We are seeking an Associate Automation Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for understanding and supporting a diverse array of Rockwell Automation products, such as PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and servos. You will collaborate closely with subject matter experts to execute critical tasks and resolve technical issues. Additionally, you will assist our inside and outside sales teams by providing product selection guidance and assisting with product technical specifications. This position is well-suited for individuals with a background in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, industrial automation, or related technical disciplines who are eager to advance their careers in industrial manufacturing automation.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide product support and technical services for PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, Sensors, Servos, Software, industrial networks, and other automation products.
  • Curate solutions (BOMs) along-side the sales team and subject matter experts.
  • Participate in pre-sales and post-sales activities, including training sessions for customers and internal employees.
  • Maintain accurate records in the company's CRM (Customer Relationship Management) system, including customer interactions, projects, and support tickets.
  • Collaborate with vendors such as Rockwell Automation (Allen Bradley) and other key partners to stay updated on industry trends and new technologies.
  • Assist in the development and execution of marketing strategies, product launches, and promotional activities.
  • Provide technical support to customers on entry level issues.
  • Collaborate directly with customers to provide support, offer guidance on applications, and resolve technical issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or a related field with 0-2 years of experience

    OR
    Associate’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or a related field with 2-4 years of experience.
  • Basic understanding of industrial automation for manufacturing, controls systems, and electrical devices.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to learn quickly and work in a team environment.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

 

  • Lifting and Carrying : Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds as needed.
  • Standing, Sitting, Walking : Must be able to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods.
  • Climbing and Balancing : Ability to climb stairs and ladders and maintain balance on uneven surfaces.
  • Stooping, Kneeling, and Crouching : Required to stoop, kneel, and crouch.
  • Manual Dexterity : Ability to use hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
  • Visual and Auditory Requirements : Must have the ability to see and hear within normal ranges, with or without corrective devices.
  • Environmental Conditions: Ability to work in various environmental conditions, such as hot, cold, or noisy environments.
  • Visual Requirements : Must have the ability to see and read computer screens and printed documents within normal ranges, with or without corrective devices.
  • Hearing and Speaking : Ability to hear and speak clearly for phone conversations and in-person communication.
